For four decades “OysterFest” has been an important event to Mason County. There is much to see and do for the whole family at this celebration that has a profound impact on many local non-profits.
OysterFest features exhibits that showcase the beauty and delicacy of the Puget Sound ecosystem. Attendees enjoy opportunities to learn about the tidal zones and how to protect and enjoy our local waters.
With two stages offering life music in a variety of genres, attendees will be sure to find entertainment that suits every taste.
There are fun activities for kids throughout the event including daily children’s entertainment on the Kids Stage.
OysterFest is a great opportunity to learn a few tips on shucking, but watch carefully, they move quickly! Over the two days contestants vie for the title of the fastest shucker or the best half-shell shucker or both titles.
The vendors all support local non-profits in the area including children's cheer groups, civic groups and seniors programs! Thank you for your support.
The West Coast Oyster Shucking Championship and Washington State Seafood Festival (OysterFest) is hosted and presented by the Skookum Rotary Club. Each year members and their families create an event that assists local non-profits as well as global issues.
