One of OysterFest’s most popular events year after year is the annual seafood cookoff. This year the competition has a fresh, new look! This year’s competition is split in to two divisions – amateurs – who compete on Saturday, and professionals – who compete on Sunday. In the first round, the chefs bring their own ingredients to produce their own seafood recipe. But when they move to the semifinals, the rules change. They will be required to use only ingredients provided to them. It’s an event you’ll want to make sure you stop and see!

Cookoff Schedule
Saturday – Amateurs
Preliminary Competitions – 11am, noon, 1pm and 2pm
Semifinal Competitions – 3pm and 4pm
Championship Competition – 5pm

Sunday – Professionals
Preliminary Competitions – 10am, 10:45am, 11:35am, and 12:15pm
Semifinal Competitions – 1pm and 1:45pm
Championship Competition – 3pm

The top three in each category will receive medals. In addition, monetary prizes of $600 for first, $400 for second and $300 for third will be awarded to the overall winners. All recipes selected for the competition will be available for sale at the event.  The deadline for entering is September 07, 2016. Entries should be completed online.
