Hood Canal Lodge #288

We are one of three Masonic lodges in Mason County. Masonry is the oldest and most established fraternal organization in history. Our main objective is to accept good men and make them better. We also participate in the Bikes for Books program in which we provide 4 each bicycles and helmets to Belfair Elementary school and Sand Hill Elementary School. These are awarded to the best readers in conjunction with each school’s accelerated reading program, additionally we contribute to the North Mason homeless children fund.

How does your organization use the funds raised in Mason County?

We contribute to North Mason Food Bank, North Mason Resources and Faith in Action in conjunction with participating businesses and private parties to pass on tickets for our annual Easter dinner.

What is your Favorite OysterFest group memory?

Many people enjoy attending OysterFest, but do not care for seafood. It is always interesting to see families come to our booth and some already have their seafood, but others want something beside that. That is where we can help.

What does being part of OysterFest mean to you?

It is always enjoyable meeting new people and reacquainting with friends. It is wonderful to join with and entire community for the benefit of helping those less fortunate than us.
