----- Visiting Year(s) Were 2005-2019 as a vendor and many other years as a patron
What is your favorite memory ?
OysterFest my wife, Andrea Keary and I have been a winery vendor at oysterfest since 2005. A few years we were even selected to be the Oysterfest commemorative wines. I love the smell of the fresh fry bread and salmon, the honking of the barrel wagon train, towed by a small lawn tractor, hauling happy kids around the event. The local magician who even makes me giggle, from time to time. Hearing all the local school, and Non profits standing next to their booth, yelling out many different delectable treats from apple cider, to coconut prawns, elephant ears, baked potatoes, burgers, clam chowder, many variations of oyster dishes and other seafood done so creatively. We can always tell when the weather changes. When its cold and rainy, the wine tent fills with laughter, happy tasters, and the occasional give a hug moment. When the weather is warm and bright, we watch as the crowds flock to the live music and beer garden.
I get to come to my home town, where I was raised, and get to see a few friends, that I only see 1 time a year. We are going to dearly miss the sights, sounds, smells and smiles of Oyeterfest 2020. We love Oysterfest!
What was your favorite food(s) at OysterFest ?
fry bread & baked potato. Sorry, I am allergic to seafood, so I am limited. These were my favorite foods. Last year, the potato booth wasn’t there. Sad!
What was your favorite band or musician ?
was always working in the wine tent, so never got to go to the beer garden. Sorry
