Notice of Important Changes

We’re excited about this year’s OysterFest.  We are very glad you’re going to participate! Just like last year, we are experiencing lots and lots of change, some of which we can’t control. So… just like last year, we need your help to make this fabulous for everyone. The following procedures have been adopted to help facilitate communication and understanding.

   1.  NO VENDOR PASSES WILL BE MAILED.
   2.  All vendor passes will be PICKED UP AT OUR VENDOR MEETING in September at Memorial Hall (at Second and Franklin streets).
   3.  Someone from your group MUST ATTEND the REQUIRED VENDOR MEETING in September at Memorial Hall.
   4.  Because of growing concerns about food safety, we will again ask Mason County to provide a food safety class as part of our vendor meeting. It is critical that at all times, your booth be staffed by at least one certified food handler. Your group or association is responsible for providing proof of food handlers’ permits and other proper county documentation.
   5.  We are encouraging each food vendor to promote the seafood theme of OysterFest… and we will be rewarding the best booths with medals and celebrating “People’s Choice” for food and Skookum’s choice for “Best Decorated and Themed” booth.
   6.  Just a reminder: OysterFest, Skookum Rotary and Skookum Rotary Foundation encourages each group to provide its own liability insurance for this event. None of the above-mentioned groups, nor Mason County, nor the Port of Shelton, assumes any liability or responsibility for your participation within our event.
